If you are looking for an alternative to Instantly, you have already decided something is not working. Worth being precise about what, because the answer changes which alternative is right — and for a lot of teams the honest answer is that a sending tool was never the missing piece.
First, a note on comparisons
We are not going to publish a feature table claiming what Instantly does or charges. Vendors change pricing and capabilities constantly, competitors have an obvious incentive to describe each other unfavourably, and a table that is wrong six weeks after publication is worse than no table.
Check current pricing and features with the vendor directly. What follows is about how to evaluate the category, and what we built instead.
What a sending tool is for
Sequencing tools solve a real and specific problem: getting a lot of email out, from multiple mailboxes, with warm-up, rotation and reply detection, without your domain catching fire.
That is genuinely valuable, and if it is what you need, buy it.
The catch is what sits either side. A sending tool assumes you already have a list, and that the list is qualified, and that you know what to say to each person on it. In practice that means:
- A lead database subscription, or a scraping setup
- Enrichment credits to fill the gaps
- Manual work deciding who is actually a fit
- A spreadsheet holding it together
- Your own judgement about which jurisdictions you can legally mail
Most teams that say "our outbound is not working" do not have a sending problem. They have a list and relevance problem, and adding more sending capacity to a weak list makes the results worse, not better.
Four questions worth asking of any alternative
1. Where do the leads come from?
If you supply the list, the tool's quality ceiling is your list's quality. Ask whether it finds companies itself, and how — a static database goes stale, whereas live search reflects what exists today.
2. Who owns the sending domain?
Shared sending infrastructure means your reputation is affected by other people's campaigns. Sending from your own connected mailbox keeps the asset and the responsibility with you. This is the single most consequential difference between tools and it is often buried in the setup flow.
3. What does personalisation actually mean?
Merge fields are not personalisation; {{first_name}} has been a signal of automation for a decade. The question is whether anything read the prospect's website before writing. That is the difference between a template and a first line that proves attention.
4. What will it refuse to send?
Almost nothing markets this, which is why it is worth asking. Cold email to Germany and Austria requires prior consent with no B2B exemption, and Canada is consent-based under CASL. A tool that will happily mail all three leaves the exposure with you.
What we built instead
KronLeads is not a faster sending tool. It is the pipeline around the sending:
It finds the companies. Live web search against your niche and location, rotating queries and cities so it keeps discovering rather than re-finding the same results.
It reads each site. Every prospect's website is crawled for what they sell, who they serve, and how large they are — including contact addresses hidden behind mailto: links and Cloudflare obfuscation.
It scores fit against your ICP, not a generic quality score, with a threshold you set. Off-niche scores zero regardless of how good the company is.
It writes from what it read. The draft references the prospect's actual services and positioning. You can require review before anything sends, and drafting can be paused entirely while discovery continues.
It sends from your mailbox. Your domain, your reputation, replies where you expect them. A client who has not connected a mailbox cannot send at all — we refuse rather than fall back to a shared sender.
It refuses restricted territories at four separate points: campaign creation, discovery, the outreach worker, and the send path itself.
It handles what comes back. Replies are classified, meetings are booked into your calendar, no-shows get a reschedule, and unsubscribes are suppressed permanently.
When we are the wrong choice
Worth saying plainly:
- You already have a great list and just need volume. A dedicated sending tool will do that job well.
- You need thousands of emails a day across dozens of mailboxes. That is a different scale problem.
- You want to mail Germany, Austria or Canada. We will not let you, and no setting changes that.
- You want a free tier. Plans start at €49/month.
If you want to compare properly
Run both against the same target market for a month and compare meetings booked, not opens or replies. Open tracking is increasingly unreliable, reply rates include every "not interested", and only one of these numbers pays for anything.
Pricing is here, and a demo runs against your real target market rather than a prepared example.
